FAQ

Yes, I have a natural light studio that is situated at my home in Kempton Park, Gauteng.

Yes, I travel for outdoor sessions.  The first 50km round trip are included, thereafter a travel fee of R4.00 p/km applies.

I would advise booking a session in advance to ensure the availability of your preferred date.  Saturdays are the most popular and fill up fast.

A newborn session can be booked in your 2nd trimester.  We book a tentative date based on your due date, and then move it should baby surprise us with an early or later delivery.  If you are planning a natural birth, please inform me within 48 hours after delivery.  I do leave room in my schedule to make adjustments.

The best time to do your maternity session is when you are between 30 – 36 weeks pregnant.  I would not recommend scheduling your maternity session within the last 2 weeks of your pregnancy as your baby might arrive early, causing you to miss your maternity session.

A newborn session are best done when baby is between 5 – 14 days old.  During this period baby is still super curly and sleepy, and more tolerant of being posed.  For older and fussy babies I would recommend a lifestyle newborn session.

When booking a newborn session, I will send you a list to help you prepare for your baby’s very first photo shoot, so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

For outdoor sessions the best light is an hour before sunset.  For young families, a morning session can be arranged when your little is still at their best, at a chosen location that offers open shade.

Studio sessions are scheduled between 9am and 2pm to best make use of the natural light.

Most clients travel quite a distance to the studio and I greatly appreciate the effort.  However, if you are late for your session, your session will be shortened accordingly.  Please be aware that your session will still start at the scheduled time and not at the time of arrival, which will result in less time for your session and possibly less final images.

Yes, the chosen images go through an editing process to enhance your images.  I try to keep my editing style as natural and authentic as possible.  Any special requests for advanced retouching will be assessed and charged at R50 per image.

Post production of your special images will take between 2-3 weeks.  During peak season and periods of heavy load shedding editing time will be extended to 4-5 weeks.

Your edited images will be available to download from an online gallery.  You will receive a download link and password.  Clients are responsible to download and backup their images for safekeeping, as the download link will only be available for 3 months.

You also have the option to order a beautiful USB with your images for safekeeping, at an additional charge of R200.

You will receive all your edited images as high resolution jpeg files.

For family sessions you should strive to coordinate, choose a colour palette you love and avoid heavily branded clothing.

For your maternity session you want your outfit to be snug over your beautiful belly.

Newborn sessions are usually done with wraps that I provide, or tastefully in their birthday suits.  If you prefer your baby to be covered, please let me know.

We will have a pre-session consultation to discuss some wardrobe ideas.

Yes, I have a preferred makeup artist that I work with.  She can be booked at an additional charge and will do your make-up at the studio.  To ensure the availability of the makeup artist, please let me know if you would like to book her services when booking your photo session.

Once you have decided on your package, please get in touch with me to confirm my availability.  A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date and time.  No booking will be held without payment.  The balance is due 2 days prior to your session.
